PART 3 / CEO Mindset

Decision-making and strategic thinking are foundational for CEO responsibilities.

Let’s face it - the constant juggle of navigating challenges, weighing options, taking actions, leading teams can be mentally taxing and draining.

Rooted as a self-starter, CEO’s must possess not only a deep, intrinsic understanding of their organization, brand, stakeholders, team, and customer, but also a keen awareness of themselves.

LISTEN NOW

The paths to success are often forged by emotionally charged and intelligent leaders.

Yet, with 49% of CEO’s struggling with depression, anxiety, fatigue and chronic stress, it goes without saying business environments are increasingly more chaotic.

In an executive roles, yes the stakes are high, but big-picture thinking feels like a tug-of-war between intuition and data.

So, which one is correct?

Which one results in being the most effective?

Drawing from over 17 years as a CEO with a DIVA Mindset, I learned to leverage my knowledge, experiences, AND gut feelings to lead clients.

Let’s get into it with part 3/

I don’t ignore my intuition

PART 3 /

I don’t ignore my intuition

I’ll admit, there have been a time or two dozen where stuff hit the fan and overwhelm and burnout seeped in.

At times, I dreamt of being Aladdin - wishing to not make another damn decision anymore.

It became apparent that mindset played a major role in deprogramming feelings of anxiousness and simplifying the decision-making process.

By tapping into my intuition, I gained more clarity, awareness, and greater sense of self-confidence.

This internal fueled confidence would drive the ship in taking action to constantly improve.

The same principles apply to making decisions on behalf of my clients: if my gut is telling me something isn’t quite right with analytics, aesthetics, or awareness for their overall message, organization, experience, or goal, then it’s something I won’t ignore!

Dismissing or disregarding gut feelings in favor of a predetermined outcome is counterproductive.

Same goes for suppressing or ignoring those nagging feelings only leads to more work in the long run.

And, not to mention, we all learn through mistakes - testing and trying and learning from them is integral for growth.

Weight Options! Play Devil’s Advocate!

For me, it was the side dish I needed to complement data and analytics - because let’s face it, numbers never lie and neither does my gut!

Consider this: How do you tap into your intuition?

What practice(s) do you put in place?

Even a brief moment of quiet time goes a long way. Sitting with your own thoughts and self-reflection, even for 5 minutes, can reveal a feeling, thought, answer or solution.
